About Me and My Pothohar Muses
Since I belong to Pothohar Plateau (Pakistan), bounded by the Jhelum River in the east, the Indus River in the west, mountains of Kashmir and Hazara in the north and the Salt Range in the south, the beauty of nature, culture and traditions of this soil invoke my spirit to pen down thoughts and ideas rippling on my mind. If the muses of Edmund Spencer and Great John Milton were there on the soil of Albany, my muses live on this plateau, my homeland.The grandeur of two mighty rivers, Jehlum and Indus, melodies of mini rivers like Sawan and Kansi, small jungles, pleasant combination of military heroic traditions and culture among people and the presence of high mountains in north and fertile fields in the east ….that is all I love and source of inspiration for me.
In this blog I am going to publish my thoughts and ideas in the shape of English, Urdu, Punjabi and Pothohari Poetry, columns, articles and many other literary items by my pen.
Though I come of a Rajput tribe (Bhakral Rajput) of Pothohar, the basic source of inspiration for me, yet the feelings and love lit up in my heart and mind crosses all the boundaries. I feel and write for my Pakistan and for the whole world wherever live the children of Adam (AS). For my Allah loves all of them.
